Tourneau exec tapped to lead Bremont in US
The British watch brand announced late Thursday that Larry Barkley has been named president of its North American operations.
New York--In an effort to boost its presence and support in the U.S. market, British timepiece brand Bremont has appointed Larry Barkley as president of its North American operations.
Barkley has “a strong and credible background,” Bremont said, working as the senior vice president of retail at Tourneau in the U.S. market for the past five years.
He has also served as president of Timex Group Luxury Watches, president of Georg Jensen for the U.S., Canadian and Caribbean markets, and is the former vice president of retail at Bulgari.
“It is fantastic to be building the U.S. side of the business, which is already a big market for Bremont,” said Nick English, who founded the brand with his brother Giles. “We feel Larry coming on board will really help focus the brand’s strategy and will enable us to best support both clients and retailers alike on this side of the Atlantic.”
Barkley will be supported by Michael Pearson, Bremont’s North American director of wholesale, who has been developing the brand’s image and exposure in the market since 2011.
