This Kit Can Help Jewelers With Their Diamond Supply Chains
It’s free and available on the Jewelers Vigilance Committee’s website.

New York—The Jewelers Vigilance Committee just posted a free toolkit online that’s intended to help retailers monitor their diamond supply chains, for both natural and lab-grown diamonds.
The kit contains:
—A handout breaking down the exact wording that can, and can’t, be used when advertising natural and lab-grown diamonds, both in print and online; and
—Two Supplier Code of Conduct and Disclosure Agreement templates; one is for companies that use and sell natural diamonds only, and the other is for companies that sell both natural and lab-grown.
JVC said retailers can use these agreements as a tool when negotiating with new vendors. They also can be personalized for use with existing suppliers to ensure the retailer has solid assurance that the goods accepted into the supply chain are as represented.
The kit can be downloaded now from the JVC website by entering your email address.

In creating the kit, JVC “distilled the best practices of the majors, specifically how they protect their supply chains and conduct negotiations with vendors,” said JVC CEO, President and General Counsel Tiffany Stevens.
“We are so excited to launch this kit and offer that valuable information as an easy-to-use, free and high-impact package to all jewelry retailers across the country.”
SGL Labs and the 2019 JCK Industry Fund sponsored the kit.
