Celebrity Jewelry Gawk – Golden Goddesses
Color set in gold has been the name of the jewelry game for celebrities over the past month.
Yellow gold pieces have been a standout among the stars lately, especially when set with bright, boldly colored gemstones, including turquoise, tourmaline, pink sapphire, emerald. Rings offering movement (see Zoe Saldana’s below) and earrings featuring texture (see Shakira and Selena Gomez’s look) are also continuing trends this year.

Singer Selena Gomez (below) donned Joan Hornig’s 18-karat green gold Veil earrings ($1,600) to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, held April 14 in Los Angeles.
Hillary Scott, lead singer of the country music group Lady Antebellum, accessorized with Elahn Jewels’ chandelier earrings (below), made in 18-karat yellow gold with pink sapphires and diamonds for Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night in Las Vegas April 8.
The Blind Side actress Lily Collins (below) wore the Pyramid diamond stud earrings ($925) from Emily Faith Collection for an appearance on Extra on March 27.
Avatar star Zoe Saldana wore Graziela’s 18-karat gold-plated sterling silver and emerald Ssssnake ring (below, $2,480) and Emily Faith Collection’s 14-karat yellow gold and diamond double stack chain ring ($865) to the MTV Movie Awards.
Actress Jordana Brewster, of the TV show Dallas, accessorized with Dove’s 18-karat gold, diamond and quartz ring (below, $3,685) and Kabana’s 14-karat mother-of-pearl and diamond bangle ($4,150) for the promotion of her upcoming film, Fast & Furious 6, in Las Vegas on April 16.
Anna Camp of The Help donned Brumani’s 18-karat yellow gold, diamond and orange moonstone ring (below, $4,143) and 18-karat pink gold ring with brown diamonds and morganite ($9,608) to the MTV Movie Awards. She also wore Adeler’s 14-karat gold, diamond and agate earrings ($9,490).

The Ides of March actress Evan Rachel Wood wore the Emily Faith Collection Butterfly ring (below, $3,885), made in 14-karat yellow gold with diamonds and tourmaline, to the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in April 21.
