Stein Mart Makes Way for Fine Jewelry Department
The retailer partnered with Unique Designs to create its “Stein Mart Jewel Box” collection, which will soon be available in 51 stores.

Jacksonville, Fla.—Discount retailer Stein Mart is adding a fine jewelry department to 51 of its 283 stores as well as its online shop, the retailer announced Monday.
Called “Stein Mart Jewel Box,” the fine jewelry section will include diamonds, pearls, 14-karat gold, gemstones and designer-branded jewelry, including Charles & Colvard, the North Carolina-based company known for its lab-created moissanite.
The pieces available on SteinMart.com include engagement rings, diamond studs, solitaire pendants, tennis bracelets and diamond hoop earrings, ranging in price from $100 to $5,900.
“The addition of fine jewelry allows us to expand our luxury offerings and is another way we differentiate from other off-price retailers,” President MaryAnne Morin said in a press release announcing the new venture.
The Florida-based retailer partnered with New York-based Unique Designs, a fine jewelry manufacturer and wholesaler, to create the collection.
Ahead of the holiday season, the Jacksonville, Fla.-based retailer will be selling diamond and sterling silver jewelry that’s less than $200, in boxes and designed to be given as gifts, in all stores.
Its fine jewelry will be sold in more stores next year.
