Jewelers of America Names Annie Doresca CFO

New York--Jewelers of America has announced the promotion of Annie Doresca to chief financial officer.
Doresca previously served as JA’s director of finance and administration since joining the association in 2008. Before that, she worked at BTQ Financial, Nonprofit Finance Fund and Goldman Sachs.
Doresca is in charge of the finance and accounting, office management, human resources and IT departments at JA, National Jeweler and the Diamond Council of America, which became affiliated with JA last year.
JA also has hired a new digital content coordinator, Laura D’Angelo, who previously worked at DMN and Northside Media.
D’Angelo’s role consists of content and email production plus the maintenance of digital platforms for both Jewelers of America and National Jeweler.
“I am proud to welcome Laura D’Angelo to Jewelers of America and announce the promotion of Annie Doresca. Laura’s digital content coordinator position is a vital role as JA continues to serve our industry and communicate efficiently with our membership,” said JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte.
“Annie has been an instrumental part of our senior leadership team for the past nine years. Her promotion to CFO is a direct reflection on her hard work and invaluable contributions to the association.”
Additionally, JA said its association with the DCA, which relocated its headquarters to the former’s offices last summer to share resources to better serve JA and DCA members, will use the following staffing structure: Terry Chandler, president & CEO; Annie Doresca, chief financial officer; Molly Fallon, director of marketing; Sharie Fogarty, education manager; Amanda Gizzi, director of public relations; Susan Posnock, director of education; Kristen Scheetz, education department supervisor; Lauren Thompson, associate director of digital development & communications; and Matthew Tratner, director of membership.
