Found by a metal detectorist, the ring likely belonged to a wealthy, possibly royal, owner, said Noonans.
Frederick Goldman Moves to New Jersey
The manufacturer has relocated its operations to Secaucus after seven decades in the Big Apple.

Secaucus, N.J.--Frederick Goldman has relocated its operations to New Jersey after 70 years in the Big Apple.
The company has moved into an 88,000-square-foot former outlet center in Secaucus, which now houses state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution equipment. The building is solar powered and has zero process water discharge.
Frederick Goldman said the move helps position it for the future through “investment in facilities, plant equipment, systems and technology, positioning it to operate with greater efficiency, while creating a platform for sustainable growth.”
It came after the fine jewelry manufacturer and wholesaler was awarded up to $20 million in state tax credits over 10 years through New Jersey incentive Grow N.J. after negotiations.
“It was difficult to move out of NYC after so many years with many memories, especially of our father Frederick, the founder of our company,” CEO Jonathan Goldman said. “However, we are incredibly excited to start a new chapter, and look forward to many years of growth in our business, made possible by this move.”
Its proximity to New York City made it a fairly easy choice, the company said, allowing it to retain its current work force.
Founded in 1948, the company’s stable of brands now includes brands that include Scott Kay, Karl Lagerfeld, ArtCarved Bridal, Goldman, Triton and Diana.
