National Rarities Announces New Gemology Manager
Sean Milliner has joined the company.

Milliner will work closely with National Rarities' gemology team to expand the capabilities of the company's growing gem lab and develop new products and services for its network of independent retail jewelry partners.
He will also support and enhance the company's jewelry, diamond, and colored gemstone offerings, with a focus on driving innovation across these categories, the company said.
He will report to Senior Director of Inventory Anne Howitt.
"We are thrilled to welcome Sean to National Rarities," Howitt said.
"His technical expertise, passion for gemology, and broad industry experience will strengthen our ability to serve our retail partners while expanding the services and capabilities we provide through our gem lab. Sean's addition marks an exciting step forward as we continue to invest in our team and the future of our business."
Milliner brings more than 15 years of experience in gemstone identification, jewelry analysis, museum curation, and advanced laboratory testing to his new role.
He has received formal training through GIA, HRD Antwerp, Arizona State University, and DUG France, and has “extensive expertise” in spectroscopic and microscopic testing methods.
He is regarded for his communication skills and ability to translate complex gemological science into clear, practical knowledge, the company said.
National Rarities said it will continue to invest in advanced gemological expertise, technology, and services to help independent jewelers maximize value and provide trusted solutions to its customers.
The company, based in St. Louis, partners with independent jewelry retailers across the United States, offering estate buying events, precious metals refining, jewelry and gemstone expertise, and innovative liquidation solutions.
