Jewelers of Americas’ ‘20 Under 40’ Nominations Now Open
The program recognizes rising professionals in the jewelry industry.

Launched in 2022, the program recognizes rising professionals on the retail and supply sides of the jewelry industry.
The program features two lists, which are “20 Under 40: Jewelry Retail” and “20 Under 40: Jewelry Suppliers.” Each list recognizes 20 individuals.
“Our 20 Under 40 program celebrates the next generation of leaders making meaningful contributions to the jewelry industry,” said JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte.
“By honoring both retail and supplier professionals, the program reflects the collaboration, innovation, and leadership that drive excellence across the entire fine jewelry marketplace.”
A panel of judges will review the candidates, taking into consideration their level of success, leadership capabilities, innovative mindsets, potential to improve their community, and their commitment to JA’s Code of Professional Practices and professional ethics.
Retail nominees can be a store owner, bench jeweler, manager, or sales executive. They can also work full-time in marketing, accounting, or other areas of operations in the jewelry store.
Supplier nominees can be a jewelry designer or an employee of a manufacturer, wholesale firm, or a service provider for the U.S. jewelry industry.
To be considered for the recognition, nominees must also meet the following criteria:
Be under the age of 40 as of Jan. 14;
Be a full-time employee at an active JA Member retailer or supplier company;
Be employed at a company based in the U.S.; and
Have at least three years of experience within the jewelry industry.
Recipients will receive a trophy, national recognition, features on JA’s social media channels and website, a press release to send to local press, and a free Jewelers of America Certification Course.
Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by an industry colleague.
Nominations are being accepted now through Feb. 13.
Nominations can be submitted online or by contacting Jewelers of America’s Member Services at 1-800-223-0673.
