Video Emerges of Louvre Jewelry Robbers Fleeing the Scene
The footage shows two of the jewelry heist suspects descending from the second floor of the museum and then escaping via scooter.

The video, which was authenticated by French newspaper Le Parisien, was taken at 9:38 a.m. and is about 30 seconds long.
In it, two individuals descend in the bucket of the truck with a hydraulic lift used in the robbery before jumping out and fleeing via scooter. One of them is wearing what looks to be a neon yellow construction vest.
In the background of the video, someone who sounds as if they are talking over a loudspeaker says, “The individuals are on scooters, they are going to leave, they are going to leave.”
Another voice, presumably that of the person taking the video, can be heard saying, “[Expletive] it’s done! The police! … They’re gone! They’re leaving!”
The thieves used a monte-meubles (a truck with a hydraulic lift normally used to move furniture) parked outside to hoist themselves to the second floor of the museum.
They then cut through a window and climbed into the Apollo Gallery, which houses the Royal Collection of Gems and the Crown Diamonds.
The thieves targeted two display cases, smashing the glass to snatch eight priceless jewels worth an estimated 88 million Euros (not counting their historical importance), or a little over $102 million.
The full list and photos of the jewels that were taken can be seen here.
As of press time, no arrests have been made in the case and the jewels have not been recovered.
