Dua Lipa Stays On-Trend With Chunky Engagement Ring
The singer’s ring ticks off many bridal trends, with a thick band, half-bezel setting, and solitaire diamond.

While the ring was first spotted on Lipa’s Instagram post from Christmas Eve 2024, she didn’t confirm her engagement to British actor Callum Turner until recently.
“Yeah, we’re engaged,” Lipa told British Vogue for a story published last week. “It’s very exciting.”
What we do know is that, according to her interview with British Vogue, Turner consulted her best friends and her sister before having the ring made for her.
However, industry experts have their guesses.
Ashley Zhang, founder of Ashley Zhang Jewelry, believes the chunky dome-band ring features a 2- to 3-carat round brilliant-cut diamond, making it worth $35,000 to $50,000.
Rather than using a regular bezel, the diamond sits in a modern-style half-bezel setting, according to Zhang.
Other designers like Susie Saltzman, who spoke with Brides, believe Lipa’s center stone is an old European-cut diamond.
Lipa’s ring ticks just about every box on National Jeweler’s list of engagement ring trends for 2025—chunky bands, bezel settings, solitaires, yellow gold, and, perhaps, vintage diamonds cuts.
Corina Madilian, co-founder of Single Stone, said, “Bold pieces have been trending for a while now, and her ring will likely fuel continued demand for modern, classic, and substantial designs.”
Zhang attributes the rise of the chunky gold trend to clients wanting a design that is well-made and durable while being timeless at the same time.
While many people will take these trends into consideration during their search for the perfect ring, Lipa told British Vogue, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me.”
“It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
