Gabriel Love Foundation Introduces Scholarship Honoring Elias Gabriel
The foundation has also expanded its “Stronger Together” initiative with Jewelers for Children.

Through the scholarship, the foundation will donate $7,500 annually to one GIA student for their on-campus or online programs.
It was created in memory of the late Elias Gabriel. The master jeweler was the father of Gabriel & Co. founders Jack Gabriel and Dominick Gabriel.
Elias was inspirational and instilled in the brothers that their purpose as fine jewelry artisans should always be to embody authentic craftmanship, with a reputation for producing quality products and services, said the foundation.
The scholarship honors Elias’ legacy as someone who believed in helping others and communities in need.
The scholarship will help provide funding for students to achieve professional growth within the fine jewelry industry and in their communities, said the foundation.
Candidates must share the same values of giving back to those in need and clearly articulate a desire to do so through participation in philanthropic efforts.
They will also need to demonstrate how they will use their career in jewelry to improve their communities.
The GIA Gabriel Love Foundation Scholarship in Memory of Elias Gabriel will open for submissions from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30 for programs and courses that begin from Jan. 1 to June 30.
For more information on GIA’s educational programs and how to apply for a scholarship, visit the GIA website.
The Gabriel Love Foundation has also expanded its “Stronger Together” initiative with a new piece in its collection created to support Jewelers for Children’s (JFC) legacy charities.
The new “Twist Heart” pendant necklace features two strands of sterling silver that intertwine in a heart shape.
The foundation said this design represents the strength of togetherness and is an everyday piece that is a reminder of the power of humanity.
All of the proceeds from purchases of the Twist Heart will go directly to JFC and, for this piece, its legacy charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Previously, the foundation has worked with JFC to debut Stronger Together pieces benefiting the National CASA/GAL Association, Make-A-Wish, the Organization of Autism Research, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
The Stronger Together collection ranges from $70 to $199 and is available on the Gabriel & Co. website.
The Twist Heart pendant necklace is available on this page of the Gabriel & Co. website.
