Annie Doresca to Lead DCA as New CEO, President
Current Diamond Council of America President and CEO Terry Chandler is set to retire in January 2026.

Doresca, who currently serves as executive vice president of DCA, will assume the role on Jan. 1, 2026, when longtime President and CEO Terry Chandler retires.
She will continue to serve as Jewelers of America’s chief financial and operating officer.
JA and DCA have been partners since 2017, when the two organizations signed an affiliation agreement.
Chandler announced his retirement in March after having served as DCA’s president and CEO since 2001.
“As I transition to the next chapter of my life, it gives me great pride to know that the future of DCA is going to be shining brightly with Annie Doresca at the helm,” Chandler said.
“She has already played a critical role in the transition and I can’t wait to witness what she will be able to achieve and how many careers will be enhanced because of her leadership.”
The DCA board of directors selected Doresca for her leadership skills, business acumen, and her passion for the growth of DCA, the nonprofit said.
“I am grateful to Terry Chandler and the DCA board for trusting in my vision for the future of DCA. I have been honored to work closely with Terry for so many years, particularly since our organizations became affiliated and I have learned so much about this important part of the jewelry business,” Doresca said.
“I am confident that my background will support a seamless transition as we focus on helping more jewelry businesses provide valuable jewelry education to make their operations more profitable.”
Doresca, whose professional expertise is in the financial and nonprofit sectors, joined JA in July 2008.
Before joining JA, Doresca was a client manager at BTQ Financial and served as manager of advisory services for the Nonprofit Finance Fund, where she focused on strengthening the financial health of nonprofits through strategic communications and marketing strategies.
Doresca is also the founding president of the Black in Jewelry Coalition.
An active member of the industry, she serves on several boards, including the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, Jewelers’ Security Alliance, Jewelers Board of Trade, and Women’s Jewelry Association Foundation.
She is also a member of the 24 Karat Club of the City of New York.
Outside of work, Doresca devotes time to community service as a school board trustee for the Baldwin Union Free School District.
The DCA Board of Directors said there will be a seamless leadership transition, allowing DCA members and students to focus on their business growth.
DCA is a nonprofit organization that provides jewelers with certifications in diamonds, colored gemstones, and fine jewelry sales through distance education.
