Over the last few weeks, I've spent a lot of time pulling together photos of jewelry for a Vegas Market Week preview in our June issue (look for it in the mail or at the shows next week). But with Couture and JCK fast approaching, we thought it would be a good time to take a look at a category that's been a hot topic at the counter over the last year: silver.
I pulled these images together not only because each of the designers will be exhibiting in Vegas, but because I wanted to showcase the diversity of styles and metalworking techniques that sterling silver jewelry designers have been employing as of late.
Among my personal favorites? The designs from Calgaro and Sabido & Basteris, whose fabric-like silver had me do a double-take. Yes, those pink and orange Sabido strands are actually silver.
