Opsydia Names New Sales and Marketing Director
Jacqui Larsson joins Opsydia with nearly two decades of experience in the industry.

She succeeds Jimmy Gove, who joined the company in March 2023.
With nearly two decades of experience in the diamond, gemstone, and jewelry industry, Larsson will prioritize relationships with and address the needs of its clients in the luxury and manufacturing sectors, said the company.
In this position, she will also assess complex supply chains and focus on how Opsydia’s diamond traceability technology can contribute to clients’ transparency, accountability, and provenance objectives.
“I am acutely aware of the ethical and accountability issues within the sector and the challenges of incorporating robust traceability products within the complex diamond and colored gemstone supply chains,” said Larsson.
“I am thrilled to be joining Opsydia to promote its revolutionary technology. The tamper proof sub-surface inscriptions complete the traceability journey of precious gems, physically linking the stone with its blockchain journey thereby meeting the expectations of both market participants and consumers.”
Larsson started her career as a chartered accountant for an international professional services firm before moving into banking and finance.
She then took a break in her career, transitioning to the diamond, gemstone, and jewelry industry.
During this time, she earned a gemology diploma and a diamond diploma from The Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), and she interned at De Beers’ Diamond Trading Company.
She went on to found Carob & Co., a fine jewelry business in London and Amsterdam.
Larsson is also a fellow of Gem-A and a council member for the London Diamond Bourse.
Her most recent venture has been establishing her eponymous company, Jacqui Larsson Fine Jewelry, where she specializes in bespoke jewelry production, sustainable sourcing, and traceable supply chains.
“Jacqui is a fantastic addition to the Opsydia team. Her professional experience in the diamond and colored gemstone industries, coupled with her connections to world-leading institutions make her a valuable asset to our company as we continue to develop internationally,” said Andrew Rimmer, CEO of Opsydia.
“With many important events on the horizon, now is an excellent time to welcome Jacqui onboard for what looks set to be a busy and important year.”
Larsson will attend the 2024 JCK Las Vegas show with Opsydia from May 31 to June 3.
The business will be located at stand 54079.
