Kirk Kara Ring Used in On-Air Proposal

New York--An engagement ring by Kirk Kara was used in a surprise on-air proposal last month that involved the latest winners of The Amazing Race.
During the segment, Buttita got down on one knee and proposed to Gerckens with Kirk Kara’s two-tone gold engagement ring--provided by retailer Bailey Banks & Biddle--with hand-engraved details and a 1-carat center stone.

Kirk Kara Vice President Angela Karaguezian said she had a contact at the Hallmark Channel that helped to present a Kirk Kara engagement ring option to Buttita, which he ended up selecting.
“Our collaboration with winner Joey Buttita from The Amazing Race provided a unique opportunity to be a part of a heartwarming proposal and this couple’s amazing journey,” she said. “Sharing the beauty of our intricately handcrafted designs on national television brought brand awareness to millions of viewers and has reportedly increased traffic to our partners nationwide during peak engagement season.”
