The Edge Retail Academy launches new services

The consulting company has added a program to help retailers integrate The Edge data with QuickBook as well as two mentoring programs.

Las Vegas--The Edge Retail Academy has added a number of services to help retailers with its software, including a program to help them integrate The Edge data with QuickBook as well as two mentoring programs.

The retail jewelry consulting company created the QuickBook Integration Services to help its clients understand and manage the accounting procedures for daily business transactions using The Edge software and QuickBooks, teaching retailers how both can be used together to get the most accurate information.

Via remote access, ERA will help clients set up both programs, create a chart of accounts in QuickBook to match their setup in The Edge and then map the accounts from one to the other.

The service also will include training, during which Lindsay Steill, ERA mentor and trainer for the integration service, will show users how to run a profit-and-loss report and balance sheets, and how to reconcile sales, profit, inventory, accounts receivables and money tendered between the two programs.

Other topics that will be included in the training are vendor, scrapped goods, missing inventory, refunds due and sales tax payable procedures.

The training will last for two weeks or 10 sessions.

Concurrent with the launch of the integration service, ERA also now will offer two new mentoring programs led by Peter Cardella.

The Edge Project Mentoring Program will help clients understand all features of The Edge software so that they can take full advantage of it. Cardella will look at each business enrolled, analyze how staff of that business is using The Edge, and provide guidance where needed.

He also will mentor the academy’s new Group Edge-U-Cation Program, offering specific Edge-related topics in a group webinar setting at a reduced rate. The group offering includes one two-hour webinar session with a half-hour question-and-answer period per month, one half-hour personal review session per month, a written summary of the month’s topic, and full Edge Pulse software capability.
