Stephen Silver names former Tourneau exec president
Watch and jewelry house Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry has named Andrew Block to the newly created role of president, effective immediately.
Menlo Park, Calif.--Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry has named Andrew Block to the newly created role of president, effective immediately.
In his position, Block will be responsible for furthering the company’s position as a prominent jeweler in the Silicon Valley area as well as developing and implementing new business development strategies.
He has more than 30 years of experience with luxury brand management, having held positions in all phases of the industry including 21 years as executive vice president at Tourneau.
At Tourneau, Block and his team were responsible for growing it from a three-store company into a leading watch business with more than 50 retail stores, and strategic partnerships with more than 90 watch companies including Richemont, Swatch Group, LVMH and Fossil, and independent brands like Rolex, Patek Philippe and Breitling.
He also has experience developing and implementing multi-channel growth strategies across the United States, Asia, Europe, South America, Latin America and the Middle East by positioning luxury brands as must-have goods for consumers.
Block also has become a source for matters involving the luxury timepiece and jewelry industry, having been featured in media outlets such as CNN, CNBC, The New York Times, WWD, The Wall Street Journal and Vanity Fair.

Stephen Silver provides rare watches and jewelry to consumers on the West Coast, and offers services like jewelry appraisal, repair, restoration and restyling, and custom design.
The company is headquartered and has a private salon in Redwood City, Calif. as well as a boutique in Menlo Park.
