Providence, R.I.--The Cultured Pearl Association of America (CPAA) has named the winners of the 2013/2014 International Pearl Design Contest (IPDC).
The IPDC recognizes pearl jewelry in eight categories: the President’s Award, the Luster Award, the Designer’s Award, the Brilliance Award, the Orient Award, the Visionary Award, the Fashion Award and Wedding Day Pearls.
Entries were received from 15 countries in this year’s competition.
Judging the IPDC was JCK Magazine Senior Editor Jennifer Heebner; Fragments CEO, Creative Director and founder Janet Goldman; Olga Gonzalez, a public relations, marketing and social media specialist in the jewelry industry; Jean Francois Bibet of Cartier; Stephanie Nicolet, publisher of The Knot; and fine jewelry journalist and blogger Lorraine DePasque.
A nonprofit group founded in 1957, the CPAA serves to cultivate awareness, interest, demand and marketing for cultured pearls for retailers and consumers.
