Piece of the Week: Jade Trau’s Medallion Necklace
Emeralds are May’s birthstone, but this emerald-cut diamond is good year-round.
As far as gemstones go, emeralds may be the official May birthstone, but for the color-opposed, an emerald-cut white diamond is a great substitute.
Take it from diamond fanatic Jade Trau, whose recent offerings have focused on specific diamond shapes: the round brilliant, pear, marquise and emerald.
Her “Maverick” medallion necklace puts all the focus on the emerald-shaped stone by framing it in an 18-karat yellow gold glam version of a classic dog tag, complete with her signature stylized edging.
With a sprinkle of additional white diamond accents and strung on a gold chain, the medallion is classic with a twist, a perfect Mother’s Day gift that can be worn year-round (and looks even better layered with other Jade Trau, as seen below).
