Piece of the Week: ERA Jewelry’s Sapphire Earrings
A tonal variety of pink sapphires bring to mind a spring bouquet.
Spring has sprung, and as nature delivers its most vibrant shades, jewelry designers also break out their most colorful pieces.
Perhaps living in always-sunny Los Angeles is what makes ERA jewelry designer Rochelle Gordon so adept at mixing different hues for a pleasing tonal effect (a trend that National Jeweler called one of nine to note in 2019).
For the designer—who named her line as an acronym for her and her two sisters’ names—combining multicolor sapphires and interesting gemstone cuts is somewhat of a signature.
These “Mosaic Flow” drop earrings show just how lively the design style can be, mixing 4 carats of pink sapphires that run the gamut from coral to bubblegum to purple with white diamond accents in a 14-karat yellow gold setting.
