Piece of the Week: Picchiotti’s Rock Crystal Ring
The Italian fine jeweler made the most of rock crystal’s possibilities in its latest collection, seen at Vicenzaoro September jewelry trade show.

The versatility of hard stones like rock crystal, onyx, lapis lazuli and malachite make them ideal canvases for carvings or inlays in jewelry design.
At the September edition of the Vicenzaoro jewelry trade show, Picchiotti explored the possibilities inherent in combining such materials with its more typical gold, diamonds and high-quality colored gemstones in its new rock crystal-centric collection.
Presented in time for the holiday season, this “Piece of the Week” ring features an oval 7.06-carat Sri Lankan sapphire, surrounded by a white diamond halo and carved, satin-finish rock crystal halo, all set in 18-karat rose gold.
The ring retails for $51,700.
For a glimpse of more from the Italian jewelry brand’s rock crystal offerings, see the below Instagram video captured at Vicenzaoro.
