The first week in December brought Forevermark diamond jewelry to the shelves of Tourneau’s flagship store in New York and on the watch retailer’s website.
This year’s Cyber Monday sales surpassed $3 billion, making it the heaviest online spending day in history and helping to boost numbers for the holiday shopping season to date. Some independent retail jewelers also reported a lucrative Black Friday and following weekend in the rundown they gave National Jeweler on what customers were buying at their stores after Thanksgiving.

In diamond news, Petra Diamonds recovered a 23.16-carat pink and Lucara came up big again with an 813-carat white diamond. Meanwhile, De Beers revealed that two companies are paying $7.2 million to buy its Kimberley Mines, a site where diamond production has been taking place since the 1870s.
Also happening this week was TAG Heuer naming actor Chris Hemsworth as its newest brand ambassador, Signet’s plan to implement Pandora shop-in-shops in more than 200 of its Jared stores and Pantone’s announcement of the two Colors of the Year for 2016.

Two companies are paying $7.2 million to buy the Kimberley Mines from De Beers, a site where diamond production has been taking place since the 1870s. Read more here.
