Feb. 6 to 13 was Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and diamond brand Hearts on Fire helped to get it started as one of the sponsors of the Go Red for Women/The Heart Truth Dress Collection runway show, held at Lincoln Center.
Participants in the show--which this year included actress Anna Sophia Robb, skier Lindsey Vonn and rock icon Joan Jett--donned red dresses created by famous designers and Hearts on Fire jewelry with the aim of raising awareness about the No. 1 killer of women in America: heart disease.
Meanwhile, luxury jeweler Chopard was honored for its sustainability efforts at the small party in New York while Zenith, a watch brand owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, feted this year’s Oscar nominees at a party in Los Angeles.

Hearts on Fire designer Ilaria Lanzoni created this one-off rose gold necklace set with more than 13 carats of the brand’s diamonds for the event.
Thea Andrews, a Canadian journalist and television personality, wore the special Hearts on Fire necklace on the runway. Once the necklace is sold, 10 percent of the retail price will be donated to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, which aims to educate women about healthy living and raise awareness about heart disease.
The models in the Go Red show, such as singer and actress Victoria Justice, wore more than $10 million in Hearts on Fire diamond jewelry.
Livia Firth, creative director of Eco-Age, hosted an event Wednesday for sustainability in fashion, recognizing Chopard specifically. Firth is the founder of the Green Carpet Challenge, which calls attention to sustainability at high-profile events. Chopard took the challenge at the Golden Globes, with Cate Blanchett wearing Fairmined gold and “conflict-free” diamond earrings from the brand.
Fashion designers, celebrities and models were among those in attendance at the event, including Karlie Kloss, left, and Elettra Wiedemann. During the course of the evening, attendees also saw Handprint, a short film by Mary Nighy. Commissioned by Eco-Age and Vogue, the film shows the people who make the clothes found in many department stores and boutiques.

On Monday in Los Angeles, watch brand Zenith sponsored The Hollywood Reporter’s event at Spago Beverly Hills honoring the nominees for the 86th annual Academy Awards, scheduled to take place on March 2. Ethan Hawke, seen here with Zenith CEO and President Jean-Frederic Dufour, was among those in attendance. Hawke is nominated in the Best Adapted Screenplay category for Before Midnight.
