The jewelry industry was abuzz with events this week, spanning one coast to the other.
Northeastern Fine Jewelry’s locations in Albany and Schenectady, N.Y. will sell these bracelets for $15 to benefit the American Diabetes Association’s Saratoga Tour de Cure on June 1. All proceeds will go to the ADA’s $1.5 million fundraising goal.

The American Gem Society’s Conclave event came to a close Saturday, going out with a bang with its ‘80s-themed President’s Party the previous night. Jewelers of America also held a fashion show at Conclave to showcase member jewelry.
There was also a lot of activity from watch brands, including a musical performance by the San Francisco Symphony at the Breguet Tourbillon Boutique and the Power of Women Luncheon in New York City, sponsored by Movado.
At the fourth annual National Association of Professional Women Networking Summit, Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts received the first ICON award to recognize her battle with cancer. Her award included a Baume & Mercier Linea 10114 watch.

Jewelers of America produced a fashion show at AGS Conclave last Wednesday, combining the looks from designer Carmen Marc Valvo with the jewelry of 25 member manufacturers.
The AGS also held its President’s Party at Conclave last Friday, which was 1980s-themed to celebrate the society’s 80th anniversary. Attendees were decked out in their best looks from the ‘80s and danced the night away to an ‘80s cover band.
Watch brand Breguet hosted the San Francisco Symphony at its Tourbillon Boutique in the city for a private dinner and concert. The invite-only event included a sit-down meal and musical entertainment featuring Victor Romasevich, Jill Brindel and Wayne Roden.
Though the watch brand has a long historical link with music, the event marked the first time the San Francisco Symphony has performed at a timepiece retail venue.

In attendance at the Power of Women luncheon sponsored by Movado, pictured here from left, were CBS co-anchor Gayle King, Tony winner and one of the night’s honorees Idina Menzel, and journalist and talk show host Katie Couric, among many other stars and celebrities.
British director Amma Asante wore Kara Ross jewelry to the New York premiere of her new film, Belle, at the Paris Theatre on April 28. She wore a cuff bracelet and ring in sterling silver with black mother of pearl and black sapphires from Ross’ fine jewelry collection.
Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts accepted the first ICON award at the fourth annual National Association of Professional Women Networking Summit for her brave battle with cancer. The award included a specially engraved Baume & Mercier Linea 10114 watch.
