Cobalt Chrome Spotlight: Sarah Graham
Sculptural and tactile, the jewelry of Sarah Graham is inspired by the forms and textures of the natural world, from grasses and pebbles to corals and single-celled organisms.

The collection is inspired by the environmental art of Andy Goldsworthy and the way wet fallen leaves wrap around rocks in the autumn woods. Sculptural and tactile, the jewelry of Sarah Graham is inspired by the forms and textures of the natural world, from grasses and pebbles to corals and single-celled organisms. But, despite its organic feel, her work is also deceptively high-tech, with innovative materials and construction.
Her fingerprint collection, for example, uses in-store scanners, CAD models, and 3-D printing to create the feeling of casual wax impressions.
Graham’s signature is a velvety oxidized cobalt chrome alloy, which creates a matte-black foil for richly textured 18-karat gold. Each of her collections has a distinct inspiration, yet her unified aesthetic, characteristic palette of metals, and variety of textures encourage collectors to mix and match.
