The largest known fancy vivid blue-green diamond could fetch more than $12 million at its second auction appearance.
Big crush: Pamela Froman launches bridal line
Though the designer has long done one-of-a-kind bridal pieces, she now has a full collection of engagement rings and wedding bands, most priced between $2,000 and $10,000.
Froman said within the past year more stores have been inquiring about her wedding line so she decided to expand that into the full “Wedding Jewels” collection and make it the focus at this year’s Couture show. The expanded offerings include a number of repeatable styles for both men and women.
The Wedding Jewels collection includes mixed-metal pieces featuring yellow, pink, green and/or white gold finished in her signature “crushed” texture, as well as single-color gold pieces.
The rings are set with gems such tanzanite, morganite, opal, and opaque grey diamonds, as well as more traditional white diamond center stones.
The Wedding Jewels collection ranges in price from about $2,000 to $10,000 retail, with some styles going as high as $30,000.
“My designs have been referred to as ‘alternative bridal,’ but that suggests it’s unusual to have a wedding ring that fits your personal style. I think we are all individuals with our own unique love story, so why wouldn’t you want your rings to be an expression of your extraordinary love?” Froman said.
