IDEX Names Ya’akov Almor Its New Editor-In-Chief

Ramat Gan, Israel—The International Diamond Exchange (IDEX) has named Ya’akov Almor the new editor-in-chief of IDEX Online and Magazine.
The communications veteran will replace Albert Robinson.
Almor has worn many hats since joining the diamond and gemstone industry in the late 1980s, working as a journalist, public relations director, sales director, business development consultant, spokesman, communications director, writer and editor.

“We’re confident that with his broad orientation and pleasant demeanor, he’ll make an excellent new team member who certainly will take IDEX Online and Magazine to the next level,” said Ehud Cohen, chairman of the IDEX Group of Companies.
Almor first worked with IDEX briefly as a writer and editor when it was first established nearly two decades ago and said he was excited to be rejoining the team.
“While my immediate brief will be to assure that IDEX Online and Magazine will remain the diamond industry flagship publication it has become over the past 19 years, I endeavor to help create more added value for all the users of IDEX products and services. Of course, I look forward to working with the IDEX team members to contribute toward this goal!” said Almor.
Almor is the former editor-in-chief of the World Diamond Magazine and has served as communications director for the International Diamond Council, the International Diamond Manufacturers Association, the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair, and the Israel Diamond Exchange.
