Women prefer 'push gifts' that sparkle
Jewelry continues to top the list of preferred "push gifts." While presents such as spa days and cashmere robes sound great, what new mom has time to enjoy either one? She may not be dressed to the nines while pacing...
Jewelry continues to top the list of preferred "push gifts." While presents such as spa days and cashmere robes sound great, what new mom has time to enjoy either one? She may not be dressed to the nines while pacing the floor with a crying newborn in her arms, but she can still wear her new diamond and sapphire ring. It'll keep her from crying, too.
With around-the-clock help, probably a night and a day nurse, celebrity moms may be the exception to this scenario. But their husbands still acknowledge the push-present trend and lavish them with luxury jewelry. According to EzineArticles, Pierce Brosnan gave his wife three gold and diamond bracelets; Ben Affleck bought Jennifer Garner jewels with the color purple to celebrate their daughter Violet's birth; and Matthew Broderick gave Sarah Jessica Parker a charm bracelet.
Recently, there have been a number of celebrity baby births, including Julia Roberts, Kevin James' wife, Steffiana, and Kerri Russell. I don't know their push-gift status, but I did read on AZcentral.com that Spice Girl Geri Haliwell bought her band mate Mel B a $13,900 necklace to celebrate her pushing out a baby girl and pinning down Eddie Murphy with paternity tests that clearly show he's the daddy.
