New York--A new high-end jewelry line has joined the stretch of tony brands located along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
Misahara opened a 440-square-foot boutique at the Plaza Hotel in December. The Plaza is located along Fifth Avenue, just north of stores such as Bulgari, Tiffany & Co. and Saks Fifth Avenue.
It is the second store for Misahara, which opened its flagship store in Port Montenegro, a yacht marina in the southeastern European country of Montenegro, earlier in 2014.
The store will carry Misahara’s jewelry and new men’s cufflinks collection, all of which are handmade in New York, along with watches from Parmigiani Fleurier through a partnership with the Swiss brand.
Lepa Galeb-Roskopp is the founder and designer of Misahara; the name is a combination of the names of her children.
Galeb-Roskopp’s family has homes in Zimbali, South Africa and Montenegro and a portion of the profits generated by the jewelry line are donated to the children of the Thimbini school in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa.
