Climbing back on the soap box, the reader suggested that Ms. Anderson, who was simply doing her job, "spend time volunteering and helping victims of abuse, or homeless women, or women who are sick."
Sure, these are incredible ways to celebrate Mother's Day. But moms, if you're lavished with love and gifts or even desire to be on your special day, there's nothing condemnable about it.
Many moms spend their entire lives putting other people's needs before their own, without being angrily challenged to do so.
