GIA Open House, Career Fair Set for October
The Gemological Institute of America’s Carlsbad campus will open its doors to the public on Friday, Oct. 7.

Carlsbad, Calif.--On Oct. 7, the Gemological Institute of America will host its annual jewelry career fair and open house at its Carlsbad, Calif. headquarters.
The event marks the one time of year when the GIA’s main campus is open to the public without appointment.
Scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the event is free for all guests and job seekers.
It will give attendees the opportunity to learn about job opportunities with global brands, start-ups and family-owned businesses; hear from notable individuals in the jewelry industry, including jewelry designer Martin Katz and Gem Gossip blogger Danielle Miele; watch gem and jewelry demonstrations; see the jewelry and gems on display in the GIA’s museum; and visit the GIA library, which is home to the Cartier Rare Book Repository.
