JA to Hold ‘Wine & Whiskey’ Event in Washington
Jewelers of America will hold a members-only event in Arlington, Va. on April 12, just before the start of AGS Conclave in D.C., to build awareness for its advocacy work.
New York--Just ahead of AGS Conclave, Jewelers of America will host an event called “Wine, Whiskey & Washington” highlighting the organization’s advocacy work and offering an insider’s look at the 2016 presidential election.
The JA members-only event will take place at Top of the Town in Arlington, Va. on Tuesday, April 12 from 6 to 9 p.m., prior to the start of Conclave, which runs from April 13 to 16 in Washington, D.C.
The event is meant to build awareness for JA’s advocacy work on Capitol Hill and the Jewelers of America Political Action Committee. It also will include a wine and whiskey tasting, followed by a sit-down dinner at Top of the Town, which offers views of Washington.
JA also said the evening will include a special presentation about this year’s presidential election from one of the top journalists covering the race.
Transportation to and from the AGS Conclave hotel, the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, will be provided.

“In this historic election year, with jewelry industry leaders heading to D.C., this is a unique opportunity to shine a bright light on the work that is being done to fight for jewelers,” JA President and CEO David Bonaparte said. “With lawmakers making decisions on sales tax fairness and other key issues that will impact jewelry businesses today and long into the future, having an influence is critical.”
