New York--Ten designers will mark their official trade show debut later this month in the New Designer Gallery at the JA New York Summer show.
They are: Betsy Frost, Charles Sherman Infinity Designs, Cynthia Jones Jewelry, Garden of Silver, Judi Powers, Marcia Budet, Anita Sondore, Goldhenn Jewelry, Myrto Anastasopoulou and TAP by Todd Pownell.
The New Designer Gallery, a staple at the JA New York Summer show, is open to any designer who has not yet exhibited at a fine jewelry trade show. It serves as a launching pad for designers, and has been instrumental in assisting them in developing and furthering their careers while gaining recognition for their talents.
One designer in the gallery will be awarded the Mort Abelson New Designer of the Year award, an honor named in memory of the man who started the New Designer Gallery. Canadian designer Holly Dyment took home the award last year.
The New Designer of the Year award is scheduled to be presented on the show floor on Monday, July 28.
“We’re delighted to welcome these talented designers to the show,” JA New York Show Director Drew Lawsky said. “Our show has a long-standing tradition of supporting emerging designers, many of whom have gone on to great success in our industry. We hope that our support of these artists will be instrumental to their future success.”
The JA New York Summer show is scheduled for July 27 to 29 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
