Since its inception in 1984, the awards have been the benchmark of design excellence in natural colored gemstones and cultured Pearls. Winning the competition is a transformative achievement. Honorees not only set industry trends but also gain invaluable international recognition through press and social media exposure.
The competition is divided into two main divisions. The Spectrum Awards are geared toward wearable jewelry in categories such as Bridal, Evening Wear, and Men’s Wear. For lapidary artists, the Cutting Edge Awards present opportunities to submit loose gems and non-wearable objects in categories such as Pairs & Suites, Innovative Faceting, Carvings, and a special category for North American Mined Gemstones.
