Texas Retailer to Bring Jackie O.’s Jewelry to Life
One El Paso store is holding an event that will include the exhibition and sale of reproduction jewelry from the collection of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

El Paso, Texas--One Texas retailer is bringing the glitz and glamour of Hollywood to her store next month.
Starting Nov. 1, the gallery at Susan Eisen Fine Jewelry Art Watches & Appraisals in El Paso, Texas will launch the first in a series of celebrity jewelry exhibitions with a focus on the collection of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Since Eisen has been designing jewelry for the red carpet and celebrities for the past few years--she’s had about 35 pieces worn by celebrities at the Emmys, Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Academy Awards--she decided to start displaying the jewelry belonging to famous people in her store.
“Jewelry of the Celebrities--Spotlight on Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis” will include the exhibition and sale of reproductions of pieces the former First Lady wore throughout her lifetime.
This includes reproductions of a diamond necklace worn on an official visit to India, a turquoise necklace worn to her daughter’s graduation, and a white and multicolored enamel bracelet she wore her entire life, which was a gift from a close friend.
There also will be a reproduction of the floating pearl necklace Jackie O. wore on her honeymoon with former President John F. Kennedy in Acapulco as personal guests of the president of Mexico.
The jewelry is all costume and ranges in price from $50 to $150. Each piece comes with information on where Onassis wore it and photos.
Photographs of Onassis in her various roles as a fashionable first lady and New York socialite will also be on display in the gallery.
“Spotlight on Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis” will run through Nov. 30.
“Being able to show how jewelry has an important place in the history of our country, especially during an election year, is something I wanted to show. As an El Paso jewelry designer for celebrities on the red carpet, it is exciting to see how jewelry and fashion plays an important part in the glamour of a celebrity,” President and Chief Designer Susan Eisen said.
Eisen wouldn’t say outright what the next exhibition at her store will be about, only telling National Jeweler that it features jewelry she bought at Christie’s.
She also said that she would love to hear from other stores across the country about what jewelry from famous people they might have, with the possibility of orchestrating a traveling show in jewelry stores across the United States.
Interested parties can reach out to her at orders@susaneisen.com.
