Antwerp World Diamond Centre Appoints New President
Isidore Mörsel will take on the role following David Gotlib’s resignation last month.

Isidore Mörsel will step into the role while Talia Pruwer, director at diamond company Espeka, will take Gotlib’s seat on the board representing the trade.
Mörsel is a “prominent figure” in the diamond industry, AWDC said. He is the CEO of Dali Diamond Company, a third-generation diamond company known for its vertically integrated operations.
He also served as an AWDC board member from 2008 to 2012 and joined again in 2020.
JCKOnline.com broke the news that Gotlib had resigned last month, citing a letter shared with the publication.
His resignation came after 16 major diamond companies with offices in Antwerp sent a letter to the AWDC board, AWDC CEO Ari Epstein, and Gotlib expressing concerns about the organization’s lack of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, particularly when it came to making decisions that impacted their businesses.
Executives from 16 diamond companies signed the letter; Dali Diamonds was not one of them.
AWDC has declined to comment on Gotlib’s resignation or the letter.
Sahag Arslanian, director of the Arslanian Group, and Amish Jain, owner of N.N. Diamonds, will retain their positions as co-vice presidents of the AWDC board.
In AWDC’s statement announcing Mörsel’s appointment, Epstein expressed gratitude for Gotlib’s commitment to protecting the interests of Antwerp and the AWDC during his tenure as board president.
He also wished Mörsel success as the incoming president.
