JIS Miami and Centurion South Beach to Co-Locate
The trade shows will take place in October at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Miami--The Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) Miami October Show and Centurion South Beach Show will co-locate in 2018.
Happening this October, the shows are set to take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, which is located in South Beach and recently underwent a $620 million renovation.
JIS will occupy three halls of the center, A, B and C, while the Centurion South Beach Show will be located in Hall D.
JIS began in 1979 and takes place three times a year in Florida, in January, April and October. In the summer of 2016, a year after its acquisition by Reed Exhibitions, JIS expanded with a show in Las Vegas, hosting JIS Exchange during Jewelry Week.
Centurion takes place annually in Scottsdale, Arizona, immediately before the Tucson shows, with Centurion South Beach happening each year in Miami.
Last year, however, Centurion South Beach was canceled due to Hurricane Irma, while JIS Miami was forced to move from South Beach to the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center.
Commenting on the upcoming October shows, Senior Vice President of Reed Jewelry Group Yancy Weinrich said: “We are thrilled to have Centurion South Beach join our JIS October event, as this enables the buyers at both shows to more conveniently move between the shows, and ultimately will provide our exhibitors more value.”
Centurion President Howard Hauben added: “We have been producing Centurion South Beach since 2007 and our stores attending have grown from under 70 per show to more than 200 over the years. Many of our attendees love to also attend the JIS Miami October show while in town, so a co-location inevitably made a lot of sense for everyone.”
To apply to exhibit or register to attend the JIS October show, visit their website or call 1-800-840-5612.
