Antique Young Guns to Hold Education Session in Las Vegas
Three jewelry experts will talk about their experience and success in the trade on June 2, right before the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show opens.
Las Vegas--Antique Young Guns, the program started by U.S. Antique Shows to lure younger people into the antiques business, will hold its first educational event during market week in Las Vegas.
“Wake Up to Wisdom: Business Insights from Antique Jewelry Experts” is scheduled to be held on June 2 at 9:30 a.m., just before the opening of the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show, in the Bordeaux Room at the Paris Hotel.
Three jewelry experts will talk about their experience and success in the trade: Patricia Faber of Aaron Faber Gallery, Paul Haig of Haig’s of Rochester and Doug Liebman of Douglas M. Liebman Estate Jeweler.
Topics will include tips on growing a business, attracting loyal clients, building a brand, making informed buying decisions and selling. There also will be a chance for attendees to ask questions at the end.
Here’s a bit more about the three panelists.
Patricia Faber, co-owner of the Aaron Faber Gallery in New York City, is an expert in the field of studio jewelry and a frequent lecturer on the subject. She has been profiled in various national and jewelry trade publications.
Paul Haig, president of Haig’s of Rochester, has been involved in the entire process of transforming a raw natural stone into a jewel, having stepped into the roles of both stone collector and cutter. Haig, who started his jewelry business in 1973, specializes in opals.
Doug Liebman has been an active member of the estate jewelry industry since 1981. His company provides professional services to jewelers, appraisers, fiduciaries and other dealers whose clients are liquidating fine jewelry, watches, diamonds, rare gemstones, silver and art.
The event is free to attend, but space is limited. Sign up on the Young Guns website.
Antiques Young Guns USA currently has 30 members and 14 industry partners. Since the program began in March 2015, it has launched its own website and merchandise gallery for members, organized press conferences and networking events, chosen its first Antiques Young Gun of the Year and provided opportunities for members at national events.
