Designer-Run E-Commerce Site Hosts NYC Trunk Show
Fashion Week is the setting for the first New York trunk show for e-commerce fine jewelry site Auverture, a venture from Dutch jewelry designer Bibi van der Velden.
New York--A newly launched fine jewelry e-commerce site is temporarily going brick-and-mortar.
Auverture, founded earlier this year by Dutch designer Bibi van der Velden and a team of entrepreneurs, will host a trunk show today and Tuesday at 52 Lispenard St. in Tribeca in conjunction with Foundrae at the fine jewelry brand’s showroom.
Van der Velden co-created Auverture to bring a group of international designers together under one retail roof with an editorial point of view, focusing on the stories behind the jewelry.
“Jewelry has been missing a dedicated universe all of its own, a place where you can immerse yourself, where each of your stories are there, waiting to be told,” the designer said.
Van der Velden is Auverture’s creative director and chief curator. The site carries designers such as Sara Beltran, Venyx, Monique Péan, Lydia Courteille, Delfina Delettrez and Fernando Jorge, in addition to van der Velden’s own designs.
In total, 15 designers will be represented at the pop-up shop, which coincides with New York Fashion Week.
The pop-up will take place at 52 Lispenard St. today from noon to 9 p.m. and Tuesday for a cocktail meet and greet from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information visit Auverture.com or e-mail Tamara@auverture.com for an appointment.
