Farfetch Is Selling This Never-Before-Worn Dior Jewelry
The e-tailer partnered with a leading vintage jewelry expert to offer the collection.

London—Luxury eCommerce company Farfetch is appealing to jewelry lovers with a new hoard of never-before-worn vintage Christian Dior jewelry.
The costume jewelry collection is available now, exclusively through the e-tailer.
U.K.-based vintage jewelry expert Susan Caplan sourced the 80-piece collection, which is in pristine condition, Farfetch said.
The necklaces, rings, earrings, brooches and bracelets were handmade by Dior’s master modeler between 1976 and 1998, representing an era of decadence at the fashion house.
All pieces feature Swarovski crystals.
In a statement, Farfetch Senior Category Development Manager Maxim de Turckheim said the archive collection is timely given the uptick in demand for vintage and antique jewelry from consumers, in part because of an increasing interest in products that don’t negatively impact the environment.
“Recently, we have seen an increased interest in archive, special pieces as customers are looking to make more conscious choices in adding to their collections,” he said.
“We are able to continue to grow our pre-owned and archival offering at Farfetch through our amazing partners and pride ourselves on partnering with the very best specialists in their fields.”
Caplan said: “I’m delighted to team up with Farfetch on this archive collection. Their vision for a more sustainable fashion future is one we share and so to be able to offer their customers access to such a significant slice of Christian Dior history, as well as an opportunity to make a conscious purchase, is something I am very proud of.”
Caplan was an antique jewelry dealer before creating her eponymous company in 2008, which specializes in high-quality vintage jewelry from brands like Chanel and Givenchy.
Farfetch launched the same year, connecting customers with boutiques around the world in one easy-to-shop online marketplace. Today it represents more than 1,100 brands, boutiques, and department stores.
It also owns Farfetch Platform Solutions, which provides e-commerce and technology services to businesses as well as brick-and-mortar boutiques Browns, in London, and New York’s Stadium Goods.
The Christian Dior vintage jewelry archive is priced between $465 and $5,411 on Farfetch.com.
