TanzaniteOne launches e-commerce site
Mining company TanzaniteOne is now selling its gemstones directly to consumers through a recently opened online boutique.
The website, tanzaniteoneonline.com, features single tanzanite stones and tanzanite and karat gold jewelry.
Traditionally a wholesaler, this is the first time TanzaniteOne is selling its gemstones directly to consumers, and it is doing so on a global level.
The company said the boutique not only allows TanzaniteOne to be involved in the entire process from mine to market but also to guarantee the provenance, quality and ethical status of its stones.
“Our tanzanite is the only tanzanite that is ethically mined, guaranteeing a piece of mind, something which is increasingly important to educated and socially-conscious consumers,” said Linda Kennedy of TanzaniteOne Online.
All TanzaniteOne Online purchases come with the Tanzanite Foundation’s Mark of Rarity and TanzaniteOne certificate of authenticity and origin, which guarantees the gemstone’s ethical status and conflict-free origin.
Tanzanite is found in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, with estimates that TanzaniteOne, the largest mine site for the stone, will be exhausted in 30 years.
