Jessica McCormack’s New Jewels Are Destined To Be Classics
The London-based designer has introduced two new glamorous-yet-versatile collections.

London—Jessica McCormack has debuted two new collections that seem to effortlessly combine glamour with wearable versatility.
The New Zealand native’s eponymous London atelier, which combines antique inspiration with a contemporary cool factor, has made her the darling of British jewelry lovers, who flock to McCormack for her bespoke ring jackets and signature collections.
Now, McCormack’s customer has a wider selection of jewels to shop with the “Cable Car” and “Ball n Chain” ranges.
The former is inspired by the movement of alpine gondolas along their cables and features white diamonds in McCormack’s go-to blackened gold Georgian-inspired cut-down settings, strung along 18-karat yellow gold strands. The diamonds glide easily along the chains but stay in place unless intentionally moved due to a specially crafted spring mechanism.
Cable Car starts at $20,800 for the Party Jacket Earrings, which feature diamond posts and a chain and diamond ear jacket.
The collection features several necklaces that can also be doubled up as bracelets, with multiple sliding diamonds. The most expensive piece in the range is the Marquise Diamond Necklace, which also functions as a bracelet, with a single 5.01-carat, E-color, SI1 clarity marquise-shaped diamond set east to west. It sells for $279,150.
Ball n Chain is the tongue-in-cheek name for a series of 18-karat rose gold beaded earrings, bracelets and necklaces connected with platinum links, some featuring diamonds or emeralds, again in McCormack’s Georgian-inspired cut-down settings.
The collection’s bracelet set with a 0.25-carat round brilliant white diamond is the lowest-priced item, selling for $10,650, while a necklace interspersed with a variety of diamonds totalling 5.66 carats goes for $88,300.
Both collections are available now at McCormack’s Mayfair store and are forthcoming on the designer’s e-commerce website.
