I recently stumbled across For the Love of God: The Making of a Diamond Skull by artist Damien Hirst at my favorite book haunt, a slightly dusty place called Strand Book Store in Manhattan.
In the book written by the artist himself, Hirst details the concept and construction behind his $100 million diamond-encrusted skull.
The cuts of the diamonds Hirst used and his explanations on the angle of their placement were quite interesting. The photos and illustrated designs could capture the attention of any reader, not just jewelry enthusiasts.
