Tacori Names First Non-Family CEO
Chief Commercial Officer Roeya Vaughan has been promoted to CEO, replacing Paul Tacorian, who will serve as board chairman.
Roeya Vaughan is the new CEO of Los Angeles-based jewelry brand Tacori. She succeeds Paul Tacorian, who will become chairman of the board.
Los Angeles—Tacori has a new CEO and, for the first time in company history, it’s not a member of the Tacorian family.
The Los Angeles-based jewelry company announced Thursday that it has promoted Chief Commercial Officer Roeya Vaughan to CEO, effective immediately.
Paul Tacorian, who had been CEO since late 2016, is now chairman of the board while Nadine Tacorian Arzerounian continues as the head of design.
Vaughan joined Tacori as CCO in 2020.
She came to the company with more than 25 years’ experience in luxury and consumer products that included helping to grow the Oakley sunglass business for Luxottica, working on a product platform for Mattel’s Barbie franchise, and rebuilding the Asics and Meguiar’s brands.
During her time with Tacori, Vaughan spearheaded a multi-year plan designed to move the brand forward. This included a new campaign embracing real-life couples and families.
She also helped Tacori bolster its position in the bridal category through its partnership with Brilliant Earth and appointed former Piaget executive Jodi Riesenberg as vice president of sales.
As CEO, Tacori said Vaughn will remain focused on boosting the brand’s visibility while championing its legacy.
This year, the company is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its signature “Crescent” design. Plans call for Vaughan and team to launch a media campaign and new commercial initiatives to honor the shape that “built the brand.”
Also this year, Tacori has reimagined “Dantela,” introduced the unisex “Couples” collection and the “Stilla” collection.
“I am honored and thrilled to lead Tacori,” Vaughan said. “It’s an aspirational, prestige brand with the heart and soul of a family business. There is a special energy here, and I’m excited to lead our dynamic team in amplifying our growth potential.”
Tacori was founded by Haig and Gilda Tacorian, who are now both retired, in 1969 after the couple immigrated to the United States from Europe.
