Lux Bond & Green’s Marc and Sheryl Green Retire
The two spent 50 and 47 years at the company, respectively.
Husband-and-wife duo Marc and Sheryl Green retired from Lux, Bond & Green on Dec. 24, 2022.
West Hartford, Conn.—After a half-century at Lux, Bond & Green, Marc and Sheryl Green have retired.
The fourth-generation jewelry store has been in business for 124 years. Today, it has six stores across Connecticut and Massachusetts.
During Marc’s 50 years at the company he was heavily involved in the jewelry industry at large.
He served as board chair of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, and board director at the Jewelers’ Security Alliance, American Gem Society, and the American Watch Guild.
He was a recipient of the AGS Triple Zero Award, which recognizes individuals for their contributions to the industry, and has been a Jewelers for Children honoree.
Marc also was board chair of The Connecticut Retail Merchants Association, receiving their distinguished service award, in addition to serving on many local boards, including the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and the Hartford Ballet.
A co-owner of Lux, Bond & Green, his “strong relationships in the luxury watch market” have been essential to its growth, the company said.
Sheryl has contributed in a number of areas in her 47-year tenure with the company.
A talent in the gift and tabletop categories, she has showcased her tablescapes in many publications, most recently the January 2022 issue of Tableware Today magazine.
For many years, Sheryl and her team designed the tablescape at the Connecticut governor’s residence for its annual open house.
She also has been a featured speaker on the subject at trade shows.
In addition to her contributions in the gift and tabletop realm, Sheryl was a major proponent of Lux Bond & Green’s foray into the online space, helping to develop the company’s website and social media channels.
Marc’s brother, John Green, continues in his role as CEO, alongside wife Norma Jean, whom the company said, “wears many hats.”
