Piece of the Week: Sonya K’s Versatile Necklace
A classic diamond tennis necklace gets a whole lot cooler with a removable pendant.
A classic diamond line necklace never goes out of style, and it gets a lot more versatile in this “Piece of the Week” version.
The “Taylor” necklace is from Sonya K., the luxurious fine jewelry line from Ukraine native and New York City-based designer Sonya Konstantinovsky.
Even though the practicality of a career in finance dashed her dreams of fashion design, Konstantinovsky found herself unable to ignore her fascination for colored gemstones like tsavorite garnet, rubellite tourmaline, and spinel.
In 2022 she finally indulged her lifelong design inclinations when she launched Sonya K., which creates elegant and sophisticated pieces around the highest-quality gemstones.
Naturally, for the gem hound, a simple tennis necklace for everyday wear would need the option of a little color.
The brand’s signature “Taylor” transformable necklace allows the wearer to attach any Sonya K. removable pendant.
This version of the “Taylor” necklace features a mint green tourmaline drop.
The pendant is removable.
This version features a 7.61-carat loop-clean mint green tourmaline set in 18-karat white gold.
The pendant’s gallery is pavé set with 0.31 carats of VS round brilliant-cut diamonds.
The necklace, meanwhile, features 8.41 carats of VS round brilliant-cut diamonds set in 18-karat white gold. It measures 15.5 inches.
The ultimate day-to-night accessory, this Taylor necklace is priced at $62,370. It’s available on the Sonya K. website.
