Piece of the Week: Yun Yun Sun’s ‘Puzzle’ Ring
The two-stone style benefits from two-toned metal.
Two-stone rings are undoubtedly enjoying a new bout of popularity. The trend is fueled by celebrities like Megan Fox, whose Stephen-Webster designed emerald and diamond ring (which is technically a ring stack) is reported to be the most Googled celebrity engagement ring.

The glamorous piece is from Yun Yun Sun, the jewelry line by equally glam Taiwanese socialite and fashion influencer Aimee Yun Yun Sun.
Aimee launched her eponymous brand in 2016, channeling her sophisticated style into a range of both costume and fine designs.
Part of the beauty of the “Puzzle” two-stone ring is its combination of Asscher-cut and baguette-cut diamonds to form an overall Asscher-cut shape, providing more bang for one’s buck.
After all, the designer has a knack for accessible design, having recently launched a costume collection of jewelry inspired by Victorian era jewelry, called “1891.”

For fans of the real deal, however, the “Puzzle Double Asscher Diamond Open Ring,” crafted in 18-karat yellow and white gold with 1.49 total carats of diamonds, is available for $9,332 on the Yun Yun Sun website.
Step-cut stones lend the piece an Art Deco feel, while mixing a yellow gold band with white gold diamond setting is a perfect way to introduce mixed metals—an emerging current trend—into one’s jewelry wardrobe.
