In operation for more than 90 years, Washington, D.C. retailer Tiny Jewel Box recently expanded its Rolex shop-in-shop.
Washington, D.C.—Tiny Jewel Box has expanded its Rolex shop-in-shop, looking to draw in luxury watch collectors.

The Washington, D.C-based retailer revamped its Rolex boutique, giving it a dedicated street-level entrance on Connecticut Avenue.

The space is now approximately 1,500 square feet, more than three times as large as the previous 400-square-foot space.

The entryway is lit up by a custom green and gold chandelier, created by layering Rolex watches.

The boutique features travertine stone walls and flooring with 16-feet vaulted ceilings.

A custom stucco wall sculpture inspired by D.C. monuments is an ode to the city’s importance to the brand, said the jeweler.

“Discerning watch collectors will soon find a deeply enriching Rolex experience at Tiny Jewel Box. We're excited to offer Washingtonians a stunning selection of Rolex timepieces, a private viewing space and a resource of elite watch experts,” said Tiny Jewel Box CEO Matthew Rosenheim.

There is a VIP room on the mezzanine level, where guests will be served Nespresso and Swiss chocolate from Teuscher.

There is an on-site workshop, staffed by a watchmaker, that is a Rolex Authorized Service Center.

In addition to Rolex, Tiny Jewel Box also stocks Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC Schaffhausen, and Patek Philippe, which also added an expanded showroom last summer.

The third-generation, family-owned and operated jeweler has been in the D.C. area for more than 90 years.

It boasts a star-studded list of political clientele including former presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, as well as First Lady Barbara Bush and Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
