NAJA Announces Lineup For 2026 Fall Virtual Conference
The mid-year conference for jewelry and watch appraisers will take place Sept. 5-6 on Zoom.
NAJA’s 66th “Ace It” Mid-Year Virtual Education Conference is set for Sept. 5-6.
Rego Park, N.Y.—The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) has announced the details for its 66th “Ace It” Mid-Year Virtual Education Conference.
The conference will take place Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6, with sessions from noon to 4 p.m. Eastern time each day.
The program will be recorded and available until midnight on Sunday, Sept. 20.
Tickets are $150 for NAJA members and $250 for non-members. Both tickets provide access to the webinar and the recording.
Presenters include longtime favorites as well as first-time speakers, each set to discuss relevant topics with information that members can take back to their business and employ immediately, said NAJA.
The event will kick off Sept. 5 with Celine Rose David, FGA, who will present “Garnet Through the Ages: The Story of an Underrated Gemstone,” a history of garnet, at noon.
Next, Caitlin St. John, GIA GG, will present “Understanding Art Jewelry,” an introductory look at art jewelry including value factors and valuation considerations, at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m., Trang Pham, GIA GG, will lead “AI for Jewelry Appraisers: How It Works, How to Use It, and Knowing the Limits,” a session covering how AI works, effective prompting, real-world applications, and AI limitations.
Closing out the day, Duncan Parker, FGA, will present “250 years of American Jewels since American Independence,” a look at the evolution of the distinct elements of American design and style, at 3 p.m.

On Sept. 6, Kerry Gregory, FGA, will start off the day at noon with “Don’t forget to look … You might miss a composite in the wild!,” which will review traditional composite gemstones such as garnet topped doublets and soudés, and provide guidance on how to spot them.
At 1 p.m., Eileen Eichhorn, GIA GG, will present deep research on the connection between photographer Frances Benjamin Johnston, U.S. President William McKinley, and late 19th century jeweler J. Dreicer & Son in “Oh, What a Find!”
Nicholle Mogavero, GIA GG, will lead “Dissent as Patriotism: Jewelry as a Quiet Act of Resistance in the United States,” at 2 p.m., followed by Scott Papper, GIA GG, and the closing presentation, “Post-Loss Jewelry Appraisals – A forensic approach to valuing jewelry that no longer exists” at 3 p.m.
The final program is subject to change, said NAJA.
