Retail Veteran Pam Cloud Appointed President of Blue Nile
Cloud, who will officially join Blue Nile on Monday, spent 26 years at Tiffany & Co. and founded jewelry brand Roseate.

Signet confirmed to National Jeweler that it has appointed Pamela Himes Cloud, who spent 26 years with Tiffany & Co., as president of Blue Nile, effective Monday.
She will report to Signet Chief Operating and Financial Officer Joan Hilson.
The news was first reported by The Jewelry Wire earlier this week.
Cloud was Tiffany & Co.’s senior vice president and merchandising officer and was a member of the company’s executive committee.
She oversaw the launch of several of the retailer’s most “iconic” collections, Signet said, including “Tiffany T,” “Tiffany Keys,” and the high jewelry that is featured in its annual Blue Book.
Cloud left Tiffany & Co. in 2020 and in 2022, she founded Roseate, a direct-to-consumer, pearl-focused jewelry brand that also uses lab-grown diamonds in its jewelry.
Roseate had one store in the West Village in New York City that closed in July 2024; it is now online only and wholesale.
She also served as a principal at Rosecut Advisors, a boutique advisory firm for jewelry and other luxury goods.
Cloud’s appointment comes less than three months after Signet announced it was buying The Clear Cut, which sells only natural diamonds, and integrating it into Blue Nile.
The acquisition gives Blue Nile access to The Clear Cut’s technology, its “concierge”-style service, and its connection with consumers on social media fostered by The Clear Cut founder Olivia Landau.
At the time of the acquisition, Hilson described it as a “tuck-in investment focused on enhancing Signet’s capabilities in high-value natural diamond sales.”
In a statement provided by Signet, Cloud said, “Having followed Blue Nile for many years, I am honored to join the brand at such an exciting moment in its evolution. Blue Nile transformed the way people shop for fine jewelry, and I believe it has an extraordinary opportunity to define the next generation of luxury diamond and fine jewelry retail.
“I look forward to working with Joan Hilson and the talented Blue Nile team to build on the brand’s remarkable legacy, strengthen our connection with customers, and create an even more elevated, personalized shopping experience.”
